Hammock Landscape Design offers services in the Florida Keys: Key Largo, Islamorada, Marathon, and Key West as well as South Florida: Naples, Ft. Myers, Miami, and West Palm. We cover in plant zones 9 – 11. This is a critical distinction and can make the difference between a successful landscape and not. Your property is a big investment. We are a planning and design firm to help you achieve your goals for the South Florida area between West Palm to Ft. Meyers, and south to the Florida Keys in Key Largo, Islamorada, Marathon, and Key West.

We offer custom design and stock designs for this particular area. Many magazines simply lump all of the Florida plants together. Landscape Architecture and landscaping companies can be confused by the general public. Though the services can overlap there are many differences. The design services for a project such as a building or a landscape are performed by an architect or qualified design professional. They have the education in design, health wellness and safety codes for the public welfare. The actual construction part of the project is performed by numerous skilled individuals who are licensed contractors or subcontractors in construction. They are responsible for following the design direction and codes in the set of construction documents. The work of design (client meetings, county inspector meetings) and the physical labor are both hard work. The distinction is the division of labor.

Many landscapers offer design services. There is no licensure to call oneself a designer. While some individuals may be good at it, my education is art distinguishes my services because I can use the design principals every time. Tricia earned a Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture. She is not a Registered Landscape in Florida at this time.

I am not guessing at design. I know design. Again, I spent the time, practice, and investment in my education to offer you a service that is a step above the landscaping companies.
